The Clamp Company sponsors Formula SAE team

Formula SAE engineers at the University of California Berkeley recently selected Yates Speed Clamps as their clamp of choice during production of their prototype racecars. The president of the Berkeley team asked The Clamp Company to become an official sponsor of their Formula SAE car when he discovered the drastic time saving capabilities of the patented Yates Speed Clamp.

The Formula SAE competition is hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers as well as Ford Motor Company, General Motors, and Daimler Chrysler and attended by 140 University teams from around the globe, attracting some of the most promising engineering students in the field. The vehicles are tested in a variety of events including autocross, acceleration, endurance, fuel economy, skid pad, and cost and design analysis.
